Intermediate EDI Healthcare Claims Tester C2C PositionDuration – 6+ months (with high probability of multiyear extension)Location – Mostly REMOTE with an in-person meeting in

Washington,

DC office about once a month. (travel to meeting is not reimbursed so candidates close to DC are preferred)Any work Visa is fine

Responsibilities:
  • Both back-end and front-end testing activities
  • Both manual and automated (

    Cucumber / Selenium/Java) testing• Healthcare Claims (EDI transactions 837, 835, and error) testing experience.•

    Write complex SQL queries for retrieval of required from multi-database environment. (Strong knowledge of Oracle database required).

    • Ability to execute all phases of the testing process in a multi-server environment. Requires the ability to define and maintain testing environments and/or configuration.• Hands on UNIX knowledge to write and execute queries would be preferred.
  • Ability to write scripts to run queries in an automated fashion would be a plus.
  • Experience with AngularJS preferred.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Testing experience with strong background in Software QA and Testing in a multi-server environment. Including back-end and front-end testing activities.

  • Experience and In-depth knowledge of Health Insurance Claim Adjudication process

    • Detailed

    and IN DEPTH knowledge and

    HANDS-ON experience testing

    837 & 835 EDI formats including all

    SEGMENTS and LOOPS.
  • Strong Skills with Oracle database and SQL -

    Ability to write complex SQL scripts
  • Ability to manipulate 837/835 EDI /XML files to generate a wide variety of valid claims
  • Work with BAs and Developers to figure out why errors are occurring and test the fixes to ensure that the claims are all adjudicatated properly in the system.

    Experience testing with BDD / Cucumber / Selenium / Java and someone who has worked with RULES-BASED engines is ESSENTIAL.

This hiring manager tends to select Testers who started their careers as true Java developers and moved into testing.
  • Experience with tools like

    JIRA & Zephyr, Toad, Jenkins• 2+ years of relational database experience including generating complex queries, setting up database connections, and automating query processing.
  • Experience with

    databases testing in a data warehouse environment a plus.• Experience in SOATest including WSDL, XML, JSON and messaging clients (MQ. JMS) preferred• • Experience with high-volume transaction systems, MQ/JMS Messaging, web services, and

    GUI development (Angular JS) preferred

    • Bachelor degree. Technical degree preferred
