Position Summary: Responsible for managing and leading complex public relations and editorial programs in support of the External and Legislative Affairs organization through planning and executing proactive communications plans.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Lead content development such as press releases, blogs, articles, messaging, social media content and online communications related to company priorities including, but not limited to, AT&T Fiber, 5G, Mobility, FirstNet, CSR and addressing the digital divide.

Support senior management and executives on state and federal public policy matters and national media press issues.

Maintain a working-level understanding of the company’s priorities and macro news environment to ensure effective contributions to communications planning and execution.

Serve as a trusted adviser to internal business partners who need to be aware of upcoming events, issues and stories that may impact the company’s reputation.

Manages and coordinates PR initiatives, including events, while working cross-functionally with internal clients and partners (i.e., public affairs, social media, employee communications, corporate social responsibility).

Education: Bachelor of Arts degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.Required experience:5 to 8 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism or related field.

Superior organizational skills, ability to respond in a timely manner to urgent requests and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience communicating with senior leadership to provide council and recommendations on key initiatives.

Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
