Qualifications:
  • Possess at least seven (7) years of hands-on experience with planning and designing switching and wireless network solutions and migrations for large enterprises.
  • Cisco DNA Center is key.
  • Must have Cisco 9000 series switch and firewall experience.
  • Good understanding of complex multivendor layer 2,3 and 4-7 environments, including Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, F5, PulseSecure and Citrix, etc.
  • Subject matter experience with Cisco Unified Wireless Networking to include 802.11b/g/n/ac/ax, LWAPP, CAPWAP, APs, WLCs, Prime Infrastructure, Cisco ISE.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with wireless client high density design, implementation, troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Knowledge of Cisco device configuration and troubleshooting across multiple platforms.
  • Extensive experience in configuring and customizing Cisco DNA Center Software.
  • Technical knowledge of common routing protocols (EIGRP, static, BGP etc.), switching networks across a large network.
  • A good understanding of Networking: Switches, Routers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, LDAP, IPsec.
  • Ability to manage a project plan, track milestones and identify dependencies.
  • Excellent engineering project management skills; planning, organization, scheduling, and progress reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Background and Scope:
  • As HQ switches and wireless systems are approaching the dates of Cisco’s product End-of-Life, Network Infrastructure Team has planned deployments of new Cisco’s Catalyst 9000 switches and wireless productswith better performance and new technologies to improve high availability, scalability, and capacity.
  • As the new systems will be equipped with new and advanced technologies, this SOO (Statement of Objective) seeks to engage a qualified professional engineer with in-depth knowledge and strong experience in wired and wireless infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Devise, plan, design, deploy, and migrate new wired and wireless network systems from the beginning to implementation by collaborating with different teams.
  • Provide internal consulting, technical guidance, information, and support to other teams when building each system’s migration plan.
  • Create Low Level Design, High Level Design, Implementation/Migration Plan, and Acceptance Test Plan documentsin accordance with company standards.
  • Install and configure network switches and lead the migrationbased on the developed plans and company’s change management process.
  • Provide an in-depth analysis of current cabling inventory and build new cabling design.
  • Configuring and customizing the existing Cisco DNA Center to enable effective monitoring and operation.
  • Work with security team to evaluate threats, troubleshoot issues, and comply with appropriate security configuration standards of company.
  • Write manuals and documents of all tasks and procedures.
  • Solve complex problems with many variables.
  • This role will require to work onsite at least 3 days per week.
