Summit Technologies Inc. is seeking a

ServiceNow Developer to join the team of our US government client. Your primary responsibilities will include providing the design and delivery of technical solutions and custom application development within the ServiceNow environment. This remote working opportunity based out of Washington, DC. Candidates must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop, design, configure and roll out new application modules, workflows and catalog requests.
  • Design and deliver technical solutions that are developed on the ServiceNow platform for all internal employees.
  • Provide software configuration and customization such as screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third-party software integrations.
  • Create integrations and process automation using API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services.
  • Create and maintain Service Catalog items and knowledge bases.
  • Work with IT Service Management Team and stakeholders within IT and Business environments.
  • Participate in sizing the application for future growth and scalability.
  • Perform technical configurations, application maintenance and house-keeping activities.
  • Design security of the application and own data security functions.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to ServiceNow application configuration and other technical issues.
  • Use understanding of large-scale thinking and apply it to designing solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ years of ServiceNow development skills with 3+ years of experience in an enterprise-level environment.
  • Experience supporting the customization, administration, and configuration of the ServiceNow tool.
  • Understand business requirements for ServiceNow - Architect integrations with ServiceNow using LDAP, Single Sign-on, Mid server, Web-services, Email and several in-house applications and technologies.
  • Experience with HTML, Angular, and JavaScript.
  • Hands on experience building and using REST APIs.
  • Experience with RDBMS tools and data modeling.
  • Configuration/customization experience on various ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Service, Knowledge, Asset, etc.)
  • Experience with Rome or newer releases.
  • Working knowledge of the creation and customization of core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Portal, and Service Catalog Automation System/Process Automation (Orchestration).
  • Prior experience integrating ServiceNow to other applications and ability to adapt existing methods and procedures to create possible solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / Serena / SVN.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering and ServiceNow's IT Service Management platform.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience; Or
  • Master’s degree and three of related experience; Or
  • PhD
