One of DC's most prestigious law firms has just expanded and moved into a new building and is in urgent need of receptionist candidates for two roles, a 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. shift and a 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. shift.
Ideal candidates will be able to interview and start quickly on 90-day temp to full time basis, exude professionalism, customer service, and have a knack for truly making everyone who calls or visits the firm feel good about doing so.
Candidates who interview should be able to give examples regarding reliability, punctuality, attendance, customer awareness, and how they would be able to take great care of callers and visitors. The job description is enclosed:
Receptionist/Message Center Operator
Key duties: The Receptionist/Message Center Operator is responsible for handling the Office reception areas; greet, welcome, and announce clients and visitors to the office; answer internal and external switchboard calls; transfer calls to office personnel; use page intercom system; assist clients and other visitors with car service needs; provide backup support to Conference Room Coordinator by assigning visiting attorney offices and conference rooms, as requested. Work shifts to be determined.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous receptionist/switchboard experience in an office support environment
Excellent telephone manner and effective communication skills (oral and written)
Must demonstrate an unfailing level of confidentiality and professionalism
