CAREER OPPORTUNITY - LAW FIRM START-UP
VIRGINIA ATTORNEY-AT-LAW
I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this career invitation is to outline a job description for Attorneys
seeking an opportunity to join a unique, almost entirely virtual Law Firm. The Firm
will focus on consumer-related Bankruptcy and Landlord-Tenant law with an
emphasis on Tenant defense and Foreclosure defense.
II. WANTED
Below, the Firm has listed some of the qualifications being sought:
1. Active law license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or recent 2020 Bar Exam
applicant).
2. Proficiency in legal research, memorandum drafting, some experience in filing
documents relating to Bankruptcy.
3. Enthusiastic individual with creative, outside the box ideas about how to practice
law while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
4. Risk-takers (within sane limits) with no set working hours, no set billable
requirements, flat fee billing only (forget those time sheets).
5. Ambitious applicant seeking equity ownership, bonuses not based on billable
hours, but rather on results and new ideas and objective “value” added to the
benefit of the Firm.
6. Passion for computers and the internet; technical skills should reflect that you
grew-up on computers (but spent time outdoors in the sunshine, too!); those others
who understand the profound influence of technology on the law.
7. Create consistently new and insightful ideas into the Firm. Create ideas/scripts for
video campaign (and any and all new technologies). An ideal candidate can take a
good idea and help turn it into a vision; constantly promote the desire to help
troubled consumers as the fundamental mission statement of the Firm.
8. Multi-tasker adaptable in day-to-day role; quick response to forwarded email;
displaying unrelenting desire and initiative resulting in client satisfaction and retention.
9. Timely follow-up with clients, Facebook Groups, Instagram Videos and the Firm’s
YouTube channel (and others including vendors).
10. Above the norm enthusiasm, ability to create marketing aura that carries over to
energetic phone skills, to the vibrant written word, innovative creation of mass
email/blog/podcasts.
11. Expertise in social media marketing: creation of Facebook Groups, Group
Administrator relationships, Power Point on the fly, Zoom meetings (including Zoom.gov);
Go-to-Meeting, Digital Event Coordinator.
12. Aggressive assistance in obtaining client testimonials and peer reviews for the
benefit of the Firm; including Google reviews.
13. Conduct an evaluation and create a review of the existing legal landscape of
Northern Virginia Bankruptcy and foreclosure defense firms; begin marketing and
networking to establish referral contact between the Firm and established firms. Review of
potential professional relationships with related areas; to wit: credit counselors, CPA firms
and wealth managers.
III. CONCLUSION
What sets the Firm apart from other law firms? As entrepreneurs, we simply think
differently and find creative ways to help attract clients and, ultimately, provide
valuable assistance to a broad array of consumers and like-minded organizations.
How do we do this? We are digital marketing animals and have committed
considerable resources to adding value to the lives of our clients and ultimately, to
you, the new member of our team.

4. Attorney seeking a flat salary on a calculation regarding the number of years since law
school graduation.
5. Attorney expecting “normal” bricks and mortar; complete with a water cooler and
pension plan or paid parking.
