We are a small family farm that needs help staffing farmers markets. Saturday and Sundays market spots available - mostly from 9 am - 1 pm at markets in DC and Alexandria, one in Berryville, VA
Make some extra on the weekends. We are Catoctin Creamery, located in Leesburg, VA. We make goat cheese.
MUST have own vehicle, valid drivers license, be able to lift 30 pounds (for setup), be good with people and be reliable.
The job consists of coming to the farm in Leesburg to get cheese and your setup, then going to farmers market to sell, then returning to the farm. Money for each farmers market will be paid at the end of each market. We pay $100 flat fee per market and then commission on top. Commission amount varies and is dependent on the market. The more you sell - the more you can make Farmers markets go from now until first week of December. It is a really fun job for the right person. You get to spend the morning outside at a farmers market.
An example day using Alexandria market as an example -
- Be at farm in Leesburg, VA no later than 7:15 am - (10 mins load up) - depart by 7:30 am
- Drive to farmers market - arrive at market by 8:30 am
- Setup 15 mins
- Work market 9 am - 1 pm
- Tear down and return to farm, should be done about 2:15 pm
