Job Description:
  • Implement test plans within current guidelines by analyzing project requirement documents. Review project documentation for all assigned projects to ensure that the project requirements are clearly defined.
  • Background in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
  • Work with requirements teams to define test cases and maintain traceability
  • Support Manual testing for deployment – System test, regression test, UAT, Data Validation test, and smoke test
  • Support deployment by performing a smoke test
  • Support cycle-related testing for Research and Engagement Awards – System test, Smoke test, and UAT
  • Find the report and follow up on defects found using our defect tracking tool Jira & Zephyr
  • Experience with developing automation scripts using VBscript with UFT
  • Experience with setting up UFT and executing automated scripts
  • Able to analyze and recover execution errors and log test results
  • Able to assist with the maintenance of test scripts library
  • Able to create and manage a key-word driven framework using UFT
  • Able to define standards, methods, and procedures for test automation
  • Review bug descriptions, and functional requirements, incorporating this information into test plans and test cases
  • Design test scenarios, test cases, test plans, and test data
  • Document test cases on various components of the solution
  • Execute testing on both web front-end and back-end systems. Ability to test at an API level such as via Web Services or other back-end services
  • Run test validations at various levels, including DB validation, logging validation, and UI validation
  • Participate in the delivery and presentation of software during UAT
  • Maintain and update the current regression test suite
  • Review bug descriptions, and functional requirements, incorporating this information into test plans and test cases
  • Work closely with the software development team to reproduce and debug issues.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability through self-directed task management
  • Motivated Team player, with very strong analytical, diagnostic, and debugging skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to work on multiple assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
