Your work will have real-world impact, and you’ll be supported in achieving your career goals.Location/Division Specific Information:13859 Progress Boulevard Alachua FLThe primary function of the Science and Technology Team (STT) Viral Vector Research & Development (VV R&D) is to develop novel manufacturing and analytical platforms and technologies for use in cell and viral vector manufacturing.How will you make an impact?The Technical Writer II is responsible for ensuring GDP compliance in a timely manner of all STT VV R&D documents, as well as reviewing draft production/test records for completeness. Technical Writer II will distill information from executed records into summary reports that can be easily understood by scientists and process development personnel, which is an important role to ensuring robust information management for patent filing, technology transfers, and publications. Technical Writers are critical for successful, timely, and error-free knowledge transfer within the business, streamlining operations and communications, and facilitating the delivery of advanced genetic therapies to patients in a faster and safer manner.What will you do?Write and revise standard operating procedures for laboratory operation and instruments.

GDP compliance review of executed records.

Data management and compilation.

Extracts and summaries scientific and operation information from executed records and draft experiment/run reports, development reports, and detailed process descriptions.

Ensure SME and/or supervisor review and approval of all records and reports.

Create template experiment records, production records and/or test records.

Document management for STT R&D including revision tracking and archiving.

Identify documentation and GDP gaps by maintaining metrics and lead collaborative improvement efforts within STT VV R&D.

How will you get here?Education:A Bachelor’s degree in biochemical engineering, chemical engineering, molecular biology, virology, biochemistry, genetics, or biophysics is required.

Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:3-5 Years of Experience in Technical Writing & Documentation within a science applicable field.

Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills are required.

Understanding of Good Documentation Practices

Ability to distill information from records into concise summary reports

Ability to prioritize and self-motivate
