Arthrex is actively seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer for various Quality Assurance functions for manufacturing development of medical devices in achievement of company goals. Design, develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to quality medical device products and systems. This position requires leadership skills, the willingness and ability to mentor Quality Assurance team members and contributions beyond objectives and expected performance. Excellent communications and analytical skills, strong technical project management skills and a Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related Engineering Technology discipline will be essential for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for working with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to prevent quality discrepancies and help determine the root cause and drive corrective action with the guidance of Quality Engineers. This would include review of DHR, inspection, functional testing, and writing an evaluation report.
  • Executes such activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
  • Initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical.
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Executes established programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Executes developed methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • May help in areas of Quality Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Metrology Process Control, Product evaluation such as customer complaints, Research and Development, and Receiving Inspection.

Education and Experience: Bachelors degree required in an Engineering orEngineering Technologydiscipline. At least 3 years experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance position in a Medical Device Company preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Knowledge of testing equipment, statistical methods, control plans.
