We currently have an opportunity for a Sr. Business Systems Analyst Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, education preferably in Information Technology, Engineering, or Science discipline. • Technical training Business Intelligence tools and SAP BW, SAP HANA • Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience preferred • 5+ years of experience in application solution design standard requirements business analysis techniques such as data analysis, process analysis, interviewing, and use case development. • 5+ Years of experience with Front End tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, etc. • 5+ Years of experience in data analytics and metrics optimization • 3+ Years of experience SAP Business Warehouse and SAP HANA data structures • Preferred understanding of SAP Analytics cloud • SAP Business Warehouse or BI certification desired • Lifesciences/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience preferred. • Familiarity with software/solution delivery life cycles. • Facilitation, organization and written communication skills. • Ability to work in ambiguous situations. • Demonstrated skills in analysis and problem solving • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products, such as Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Visio • Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools and functionality such as SAP BI and Qlik Sense with a primary focus on data and reporting development. • Specific business intelligence application experience relevant to the Information & Technology functional area supporting all global business departments and their associated processes around dash boarding and reporting. • Manage on-going operations for the functional area, compile key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of Information & Technology processes and improve daily operations and project delivery and ensure that an inventory of company software and systems assets is maintained • Thinks beyond and maintains an external and strategic focus • Responsible for ensuring an understanding of the business processes within the application team, working with the business (typically mid-level management) to identify opportunities and develop the appropriate business case/demand within the Information & Technology process • Builds bridges and helps teams develop collaboration • Problem solving in a forward and proactive manner. • Ignites agility and instills personal flexibility in self and teams • Inspires the future and ensures clarity around the strategy • Managing a service provider for a specific module and fringe applications within business intelligence tools • Project Management • Presentation and communication skills Responsibilities: • This role plans, conducts, and coordinates demand management activities as an Information & Technology representative as well as aiding on business intelligence activities for. • This role will be working directly with business partners and stakeholders on all activities relating to Business Intelligence such as gathering requirements, speaking to end users, creating functional specifications (document for user requirements). • The Business Intelligence Business Analyst will analyze business and technical processes to develop new business intelligence deliverables which add value to the business. • This role necessitates knowledge of requirements elicitation techniques, software/system development lifecycle, data visualization methods as well as data warehouse principles. • The Business Intelligence Business Analyst will work with the Managed Service provider to ensure all standards, process and validation activities (if needed) are completed and done correctly. • The Business Intelligence Business Analyst is responsible for independently analyzing, documenting, and communicating requirements for systems and data related changes needed within the business intelligence and data areas. Solutions areas may include Hadoop Data Lake or SAP BW/4 HANA Data Warehouse, and similar applications. • Assists the BW/HANA Lead and the Solution Integrator to coordinate demand management activities in a managed services environment specifically for business intelligence deliverables. • Utilizes specific techniques to elicit requirements from business stakeholders, analyzes, organizes, documents, and validates the resulting requirements, and communicates and secures agreement on the requirements across all stakeholders. • Establish relationships with Run / Project team members, commercial stakeholders, and liaises between the business and technical members of the SAP Business Warehouse and Hadoop , ensuring that the team understands the business customer needs. • Build and update models, diagrams, information flows and other documentation to describe business processes, conceptual information models, organizational structure, and business area context and/or system requirements. • Responsible for identifying the design of the target solution and preparing the required system design documentation (architectural specifications, diagrams and charts, functional and configuration specifications) to ensure the visualization of the technical implementation of user requirements, and to provide direction to system programmers. • Prepares test cases and scripts that are relevant to the design and functional requirements while adhering to defined quality and governance standards and procedures. • Seeks to become subject matter expert on the processes and systems related to their assignments. • Must have ability to create technical and training documentation as needed to support the Global Information & Technology organization. • Analyze the current environment for repetitive issues and activities that can be solved proactively rather than reactively. • Work with the Managed service provider on all business intelligence solutions across the enterprise. • Leads in translating business requirements of moderate to diverse scope and designs effective solutions. • Configure and unit test solutions using good judgment with standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
