Job SummaryDisney Vacation Club (DVC) is a dynamic and rapidly growing business with diverse and unique complexities and opportunities requiring added focus and leadership. The DVC Club Strategy & Development Manager will grow business results by identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance the utilization of Disney Vacation Club inventory, addressing key Member experience barriers, and supporting key strategic initiatives for DVC. This high visibility role will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, creating, and driving continuous improvements and innovation related to Member travel behavior and resort inventory usage including point chart management, exchange strategy, business rule optimization, and Member satisfaction. Successful candidates must be able to structure complex, ambiguous and critical issues and develop compelling and insightful recommendations for senior executives.You will:On any given day, as a DVC Club Strategy and Development Manager, you might:- Develop OI generation opportunities with a focus on new initiatives, and successfully integrate these initiatives into the existing organization
- Assess the market environment, identify gaps/opportunities, build the business case, construct financial models, develop pricing, and ensure operational feasibility of new growth opportunities
- Recommend strategic initiatives for senior executive review and approval that include prioritization of opportunities and investments
- Consult on potential business impacts of decisions, projects, or initiatives, supported by thorough financial and business analysis
- Provide key inputs for long-term and annual operating plans
- Lead cross functional teams and manage project timelines for the execution of business-wide initiatives
- Drive synergy and efficiency efforts across the organization
- Serve as an SME for the overall DVC business, deploying knowledge of Sales, Member Services, Development, Technology, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Legal, Comms/PA.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional work experience in strategy, data science, finance, revenue management, marketing, consulting, industrial engineering, and/or consumer insight
- Strong financial acumen, experience interpreting demand data, and in-depth knowledge of the qualitative and quantitative Consumer Insight process
- Proven ability to synthesize large amounts of data, balance multiple competing priorities, and develop high-level points of view on new business initiatives
- Superior interpersonal / partnership skills and the ability to deal with ambiguity
- Sense of urgency to move projects forward
- A passion for the Disney product
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
- Knowledge of the DVC brand
- Prior experience with The Walt Disney Company or Disney Parks Experiences & Products
- Experience presenting data to senior leaders to gain buy in
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Tableau and managing large data sets
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Marketing or equivalent work experience.
- Graduate degree preferred
