First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid Florida is seeking a part-time Contemporary Music Director.
This position will lead the music for our contemporary worship service and youth activities. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated disciple of Jesus with a heart for leading music and media for worship and youth using prayer, scripture, personal experience, and music.
Some of the position's primary responsibilities include:
Cultivating a worshipful environment during the Sunday contemporary service.
Leading the youth music ministry.
Provide prayer support feedback and mentoring to music participants.
Leading and/or assisting in the delivery of contemporary music needs for church events.
Coordinate all music aspects and sermon graphics for Sunday service.
The qualified candidate will be an energetic and sensitive worship leader with strong vocal ability able to perform with guitar and/or piano in any key. Additional knowledge of music theory as it relates to contemporary music is a plus. Ability to recruit and guide lay musicians in a variety of 'band' configurations and musical ranges that work best for corporate singing.
