Position: Personal Caregiver & Companion
Location: Coconut Creek / Margate Area
Schedule: Part-time – Fridays, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to provide personal assistance and companionship for our 95-year-old mother who resides in an assisted living facility. This is a part-time position one day per week (Fridays), with the possibility of occasionally assisting with doctor’s appointments when scheduled in advance. This role is ideal for someone who lives locally.
The assisted living facility provides her primary care, so this position focuses on light duties and companionship, not full caregiving responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Escort and push her wheelchair during the facility’s weekly shopping outings
Provide companionship and emotional support
Perform light housekeeping in her room to maintain a tidy and comfortable environment
Qualifications:
Experience caring for the elderly (professional or personal, including family care)
Kind, patient, and compassionate demeanor
Good communication skills
