About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of our residential and/or commercial properties. You’ll handle routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and respond to service requests to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for tenants and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural components.
Conduct routine inspections of common areas, units, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and emergencies.
Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, flooring, and fixture replacements.
Maintain landscaping, irrigation systems, and outdoor facilities.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Document all maintenance activities in property management software.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
Previous experience in property maintenance or building repair.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Technical Skills Required
Plumbing: Faucet and toilet repairs, drain cleaning, leak detection.
Electrical: Light fixture installation, outlet and switch replacement.
HVAC: Filter changes, thermostat calibration, basic diagnostics.
Carpentry: Door and cabinet repairs, drywall patching.
Painting & Finishing: Interior/exterior painting, caulking.
Appliance Repair: Basic troubleshooting and replacement.
Groundskeeping: Lawn care, irrigation system checks.
Safety Compliance: Lockout/Tagout, OSHA standards.
Technology: Use of CMMS or property management software.
