Essential Job Functions:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining high quality standards and providing excellent customer service to our residents. This role is responsible for performing cleaning/janitorial duties related to interior and exterior product preparation for the property.

Essential Job Functions:

Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service by troubleshooting the source and taking appropriate action to repair and/or restore service within the quality and time standards established by the organization. Escalates problems or issues to Supervisor or outside contractor as needed.

Complete necessary repairs to building exteriors and common areas as assigned by Supervisor.

Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy by performing various and as needed electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair and other miscellaneous equipment maintenance and repairs, painting and overall apartment cleaning and other miscellaneous activities as necessary or as directed.

Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property.

Ensure the property’s central trash removal areas and/or compactors are serviced, emptied and kept clean.

Maintain tools and equipment and ensures they are in working order.

Perform basic housekeeping duties to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy.

Clean light fixtures, windows, various equipment, laundry rooms, etc. and cleans storage and common areas including, clubhouse, recreation room, office, fitness center, etc.

Attend monthly safety meetings and accurately completes work records.

Responsible for safety storing chemicals, cleaning products and hazardous materials.

Maintain work, supply carts and storage areas in a neat and organized manner.

Assist with snow removal as needed.

Requirements:

Available to work a flexible schedule (Weekends, OT, On-Call)

Reliable transportation.

Trade School or Maintenance Training Program Preferred

HVAC experience required

EPA Certified

CPO preferred but not required
