Job Description
Responsibilities:- Ensures releases by overseeing developing/involved in regression testing existing functionality
- Identifies issues and analyzes relative significance
- Coordinates with the QA Manager, Project Managers and Developers on app defects and enhancements to ensure proper escalation / follow up
- Ensures new functionality meets requirements of functional specs consistently
- Uses knowledge of systems and technologies and troubleshooting skills to investigate defects to determine potential causes for failed tests
- Provide clear documentation and enforce the use of internal issue tracking system on all issues found
- Enhances test scripts on an as needed basis
- Provide back-up assistance in order to support help desks
- Helps direct other department representatives in User Acceptance Testing
- 6+ years of experience as a "Hands on" QA
- Strong SQL Exp. is a MUST
- Automated testing experience is a plus
- Experience leading off shores resources
- Demonstrate effective listening skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to present feedback in a positive and constructive manner
- Strong written and oral communication skills; interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively "pitch" technical concepts to developers and non-technical business users alike, sometimes leading demos of new functionality
- Computer proficient including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word) at an intermediate level. Must have experience with API's/deployments/SDET
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines and requirements accordingly
- Reliability and flexibility a must
- Ideal candidates will possess coaching skills and will be receptive to feedback
