We are a transportation company seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dispatcher/Coordinator to join our team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Local P&D (Pickup and Delivery) services, extensive regional and statewide knowledge, and a proven track record in effectively dispatching and coordinating a fleet of drivers and trucks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Efficiently coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of drivers for local, regional, and statewide routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Monitor driver activities, track shipments, and communicate effectively to ensure operational excellence.
- Collaborate closely with drivers, providing them with necessary instructions, route details, and addressing any issues that arise during their routes.
- Optimize delivery schedules to minimize delays, reduce transportation costs, and improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain clear communication channels with customers, providing real-time updates on delivery status and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Utilize transportation management software to manage orders, assign drivers, and track shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Prepare daily reports on dispatch activities, including route performance, delays, and exceptional incidents.
- Assist in identifying areas for operational improvement and contribute to the development of more efficient processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dispatching or coordinating role within the logistics industry, preferably with a focus on P&D services.
- Strong familiarity with Local P&D operations, as well as regional and statewide transportation routes.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a must.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with drivers, customers, and team members.
- Familiarity with transportation management software and technology tools used in the industry.
- Basic tech-savvy skills, including experience using dispatching software, Microsoft Office (Outlook for emails and Excel for reporting), and mobile apps for efficient coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make quick decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of retail, airport/airline, and e-commerce logistics is a plus.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Candidates must also be available if needed after work hours for any urgencies that may occur during live operations.
