Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:- Understand and document technical requirements related to Data Warehousing (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI)
- Represent the needs of Engineering to communicate and prioritize technical analysis in various projects such as: Migrating customer data, data validation process and reporting, parallel test automation, and managing test and production tenants.
- Ensure that automation tools are developed in a way that maximizes reuse across products
- Work with Engineering and SaaS teams to anticipate and manage technical risks associated with the introduction and deployment of automation
- Make recommendations to teams developing new BW/BI products to create awareness around migration needs
- Trouble shoot customer escalations and partner with BI/DW Engineering and other teams as needed for resolution
- Analyze data contained in the corporate databases and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.
- Produce technical documentation for new and existing BI/DW applications.
- Examine and evaluate current BI/DW systems
- Identify technical requirements
- Document interfaces between BI/DW systems and other applications
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and developers to produce specifications for new BI/DW systems
- Ensure deadline and budget requirements are met
- Stay up-to-date with current BI/DW technologies and technical developments
- 5+ years of Strong Database knowledge and skills (SQL)
- 5+ years of Strong Business Intelligence skills
- 5+ years of Experience with Logical and physical Data Modeling for DW/BI applications
- 2+ years of Experience with cloud software hosting / deployment
- 2+ years of Experience managing BI/DW environments in roles such as System/Application Administrator or DBA
- Software QA methodologies
- 5+ years of Experience working in an Agile env like Kanban/Scrum
- 5+ years of Experience creating technical stories for the platform or tools using JIRA
- Strong task management, analysis and time management
- 3+ years of experience Understanding of object-oriented programming languages like JAVA or C#
- Understanding of enterprise software development frameworks
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL database systems such as SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL).
- Understanding of public cloud data warehouse technology platforms such as Google Big Query and Snowflake
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Knowledge of streaming applications and messaging solutions
- Knowledge of Public cloud services, preferably Google Cloud Platform
- 2+ years of experience of DevOps, CI CD methodologies
- Proven work experience as a system analyst
- Hands on experience with software development and documentation
- Solid knowledge of business information systems
- Ability to explain technical details
- Excellent analytical skills
- A good problem-solving attitude
- Self-motivated, continuous improvement mindset and willing to “do what it takes” to get the job done
- Experience with, or understanding of, Agile/Lean Software Development practices such as Kanban or Scrum
- Ability to manage and balance multiple deliverables concurrently in an environment with shifting priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering; equivalent experience accepted.
