job detailsPermanent opportunity with a local Freight Forwarder: Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience handling customs documentation with a focus on using Microsoft Excel (vlookups and Pivot Table). As the logistics coordinator, your responsibilities include completing and validating in a timely manner all export documentation and coordination. Obtains and generates required documents for shipments to companies located throughout Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.salary: $40,000 - $45,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: No Degree RequiredResponsibilitiesObtains or generates compliant export documentation (BOL, SED, COO, export health certificates, etc)
Processes Export Folder: verifies the accuracy of piece counts, descriptions/translations and cost; verifies that certificate requirements have been met.
Generates and submits Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings. (SED)
Validates Export Health Certificates comply with Country Specific
Requirements/Regulations; HAZMAT declaration
Provides In-Country document support
Generates, submits, and proofs bill of lading instructions to various ocean carriers.
The essential functions of this role include:working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
SkillsCustoms Documentation (2 years of experience is preferred)
Excel Macros (3 years of experience is preferred)
Excel Pivot Tables (2 years of experience is preferred)
Bill of Lading (2 years of experience is preferred)
Communicating with Vendors (5 years of experience is preferred)
Emailing Updates for Clients (5 years of experience is preferred)
Ocean Import (2 years of experience is preferred)
Ocean Export (2 years of experience is preferred)
