Job Description:

Corporate Action processor supporting multiple Lines of Business across several legal entities and Markets with Global Securities Operations. Global Securities Operations is part of GMO&MO (Global Markets Operations and Middle Office). Global Securities Operations organization provides operational support for equity and debt securities, as well as the servicing of syndicated traded loans, globally from post-execution transaction processing through posting to the general ledger. GSO performs a utility service across all lines of business that trade these products and also provides client, account and product reference data support across all GBAM business that transact in securities, derivatives, FX and commodities.

Responsibilities:
  • Processing voluntary and/or mandatory events across both fixed income and equities.
  • Election management/balancing on voluntary events ensuring the elections received have been appropriately allocated to custodians and/or counterparties ahead of the deadline.
  • Managing the payment on voluntary and/or mandatory events (tenders, mergers, exchanges, reverse splits, name changes, conversions, and subscriptions) across both fixed income and equities globally.
  • FX requests and trade tickets for cash in lieu as needed.
  • Ensure all post payment reconciliation exceptions are resolved accurately and timely.
  • Interaction with external contra brokers for fails and stock loan positions.
  • Responding timely to emails from the contact center and various business support groups for events.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Follows established written procedures and guidelines, provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations support function for one or more operations product areas. Uses established techniques to analyze and resolve complex operations support problems/initiatives requiring exception handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product/services specialists to resolve. May assist in managing projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products and services and processes coordination across multiple operations functions. Employees will have college degree (Associates or higher) or comparable work experience. Required skills include: expert Excel knowledge, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines, ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job, ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, ability to work in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Desired skills include: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar major preferred and a basic understanding of and/or experience in financial service industry. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.
