Exciting work you will do: The Pricing SME's role is to collaborate with project stakeholders in the business and technology departments to document and support business needs throughout each phase of a pricing project. The focus will be on defining and planning the user stories to assist client with pricing their transportation services.
  • Facilitate the development of appropriate pricing strategies.
  • Analyze existing data sources to identify required inputs for pricing models.
  • Research and propose algorithms, decision models and database technologies to support client's pricing goals and objectives.
  • Serve as the proxy of the business product owner, supporting him/her in the creation, management, planning and implementation of user stories.
  • Elicit user stories via interviews, workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, process modeling, analysis of existing systems and documentation, and other methods.
  • Utilize tools such as Atlassian JIRA and Confluence to document user stories, groom the backlog, work with the product owner to define sprints, work with the scrum master to manage the sprint, collaborate with other members of the team.
  • Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to define/refine project scope and vision and identify constraints, dependencies, assumptions, risks and issues.
  • Work with the business product owner, scrum master and development team to prioritize user stories and gain approval on deliverables, assisting with issue resolution.
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of user stories according to the established process to the product owners, scrum masters, sponsors, and other stakeholders so issues and solutions are understood.
  • Support user stories throughout design, development, testing, implementation and transition phases
  • Assist with executive communications and development of strategy and vision for proposed programs.

What you will need:
  • Experience with pricing business processes and data analysis
  • Experience with custom-developed pricing models and algorithms
  • Experience with relational and graph database design and query creation
  • Agile Product Owner and Scrum Master experienceJira and/or Confluence
  • Meeting facilitation, consensus building, collaboration
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Statistical modeling and demand forecasting
  • Rail/Transportation industry experience
