Our client, a well-known Global Investment Management firm, is looking for a

Application Support Team Lead to join their IT Operations Team as a

consultant , to support their Tax Reporting and Advisory Systems and Platforms. Candidates must be located in the

Jacksonville, FL area for this

Hybrid role , willing to commute to their office 2-3 days/week

.

You will Lead and work closely with a highly collaborative and supportive team that supports and maintains the Tax reporting and Advisory systems, improves and automates processes, as well as delivers system changes and enhancements. The systems and platforms you will be supporting are a mix of internally developed and vendor based SAAS products.

THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Day to Day Support of the systems and platforms.
  • Day to Day management of team activities as well as on Hand on tasks.
  • System Configuration.
  • Working closely with business to understand the challenges and improve operational models.
  • Identifying improvement & automation opportunities and implementing the same.
  • Working closely with development team to ensure change management while implementing changes for project/enhancement
  • Issue tracking and resolution
  • Proactively working/managing system performance enhancement
  • Ensuring support processes are followed in alignment with broader IT operations teams/processes.
  • Monitoring and promoting the effective use of application.
IT Operation team is responsible for:
  • Application Monitoring and Event/Alert Management
  • Incident Management (L2 support)
  • Request Management (L2 support)
  • Change Management (UAT and Prod Release Management)
  • Risk Management (User Access Review/Periodic DR tests)

THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE ROLE:
  • Strong knowledge on Windows/Unix O/S and Shell/PowerShell Scripting.
  • Strong understanding of databases (Oracle or SQL server)
  • Exposure to AWS hosted applications
  • Exposure to various tools like Remedy, Splunk, CyberArk, Bit Bucket, AppDynamics and Control-M, JIRA, Confluence etc.
  • Understanding of Dot Net Programming or any other OOP based language
  • Understanding of general ledgers, balance sheets and finance systems and/or regulatory rules will be big plus
  • Understanding of Bigdata technologies will be a plus
  • Understand SDLC as well as ITIL support framework to ensure strong understanding of processes
  • Effective communication, relationship, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to accept responsibility and work as part of a team
  • Strong client service focus and willingness to respond to queries and provide deliverables within prompt timeframes
  • The ability to work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate solutions
  • Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to priorities despite conflicting requests
  • Able to appropriately raise and discuss issues
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement
