Installation Project Manager Onsite - Jacksonville FL Full-time, Contract to Hire or Direct-Hire Up to $70k based on experience

SummaryAs a Project Manager, you will lead and manage the installation and implementation of turn-key wireless monitoring solution at customer sites. You will have the overall responsibility for planning the project timeline, deliverables, and quality of the installation. You will also be involved in the project budgeting, execution, and management of resources over the entire project lifecycle. An important part of your responsibilities will be the coordination of activities during project phases to ensure effective setup and operation of both hardware and software units and teams. This will require you to represent the interest of the project to all stakeholders and share knowledge across sites and departments while also providing full transparency as to the project status in various internal and external presentations and meetings. This position will be based in Jacksonville, FL office and site travel is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the customer stakeholders, team members, and contract personnel to design and plan a solution and establish associated project timelines and budgets that allow for the delivery of the most strategic functionality within the project installation constraints
  • Develop, maintain, review and/or disseminate all project documentation including project charter, status reports, invoices, change orders, schedules, budgets, and retrospective reviews
  • Initiate and document communication with customer personnel involved in each new installation, maintaining thorough records
  • Coordinate numerous variables and deliverables, both internally and externally, to ensure the team is prepared for installation
  • Establish and maintain a usable and well communicated schedule for all phases of a project
  • Determine resource requirements (including staffing, software, hardware, and facilities) of projects based on project specifications and working with all key team members
  • Determine project roles for team members based on requirements, time frames, and budget
  • Partner and work effectively with external and internal resources to achieve project goals
  • Report project status to internal and customer stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Ensure project meets internal and customer expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery timelines, and strategy
  • Identify, track, manage, and mitigate risk on specific customer engagements; escalate issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and timeline
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with customer relationships at all levels of an organization

Qualifications

The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job well:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience in a Project Management role, ideally on an installation
  • Experience adhering to contract specifications and establishing processes and procedures
  • Proficiency with creating project plan templates as well as related dashboards and measurables
  • Comfort with identifying and escalating issues as necessary
  • History of ensuring projects managed were within budget as per their statement of work
  • High level of comfort working with technical colleagues
  • Experience relating projects to an internal ERP and other systems
  • Experience working with a multitude of project management tools, including Smartsheet, Jira, MS Project, etc.
  • Ability to manage both external customer projects as well as internal company projects
  • Experience in external customer projects overall, also relating the complete profitability of the project for measurable review
  • Experience and understanding in the supply chain and internal operations processes
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
  • Six Sigma and or Kaizen experience as well as process improvement a plus
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with all levels of the organization
