This includes interacting with various leaders of App Dev, Quality Engineering and DevOps function, understand their requirement that supports faster development cycle and implement automation solutions.ObjectiveDrive purposeful thought leadership, strategy and execution for GCT’s NAM DevOps Platform Automation Function. Identify and scale solutions to enhance automation capabilities, partner with Technology leaders to reduce manual efforts, and implement industry standard frameworks for DevOps Transformation. A strong focus is required on implementation and adoption of automation solution for various operational tasks with minimum technology risk. Requires a “renaissance” leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to influence change at all levels of the organization and deliver globally to achieve results. Able to demonstrate how self-service ops and other automation can improve business results.Priorities Include:Lead an engineering organization with a laser focus to enhance lower environment and application ecosystem stability, reduce operation support cost and Improve developer experience

Help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our control environment through automation and adoption of best practices

Manage NAM DevOps Unified Portal that is to be used as one-stop portal for Developers and Ops personal

Identify repeatable ops that can be automated for ServiceNow Ticket Reduction

Provide Self-service operation and automation to empower developers and quality engineers to reduce turnaround time.

Drive modern DevOps techniques and tools to achieve platform automation, continuous improvement and productivity saves.

Implement application Ecosystem monitoring and centralized observability that helps to proactively identify, resolve issues and improve MTTR

Provide real time health check KPI for critical applications in centralized dashboard

Manage DevOps Automation active sprint cycles and prioritizing the backlog tasks based on benefit and urgency.

Spearhead an organization that constantly looking for automation opportunities, with the goal of enhancing our ability to deliver with quality and stability.

Develop and implement best-in-class processes, metrics and practices.

Provide leadership, development opportunities, performance management, development and succession-planning, staff communications, and positive interactive working environment to ensure the highest productivity and employee engagement, globally.

Organizational Scope and AccountabilityStrong interaction with App Dev, Quality Engineers and DevOps Engineers and represent Platform Automation Team on key forums.

Provide leadership and direction for various automation processes in DevOps organization. Ensure organizational effectiveness/accountability, optimizations, and superior products / services within an environment of continuous learning & growth.

Champion an inclusive and diverse global mindset in order to attract a deep and diverse talent pool within the organization that includes effective coaching and development.

Evaluate opportunities and enable measurable improvements quickly and best utilize resources, while building an automation roadmap that matches strategy and direction. Effectively scale regional solutions globally where appropriate.

Ensure effective controls are in place across the organization.

Manage best-in-class quality and simplification methodology and governance of process management.

Partner with senior engineers and engineering managers to develop best practices.

Establish and maintain a high performing, open culture based on integrity and strong partnership and financial responsibility.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be a visionary leader in managing automation team. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business or a related field.20+ years relevant work experience, including experience leading large, cross-functional teams across DevOps and engineering team.Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results oriented.

Proficiency in UNIX OS with experience in UNIX/Python scripting,

Strong experience in Database (Oracle, SQL, Mongo DB) and Storage technologies.

Experience in managing Agile Development Sprint Teams with daily scrum meeting.

Experience delivering with an agile methodology.

Working experience with various CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, Jenkin Build and RLM)

Expertise in DevOps tools - Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Jira.

Strong knowledge with containerization and microservices transformation.

Experience in affecting large culture change.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work with seamlessly with remote teams.

Capability to define a well thought out organizational strategy and execute on an associated operational plan.

Exceptional strategic analysis, problem solving, issue resolution and decision-making skills.

Leadership skills: individual leadership, change leadership, mentorship, motivation, coaching and development, and the ability to galvanize the support of others where possible.
