Navy Ship - PM Work in Singapore (Singapore)

Needing technically capable, professional and reliable workers to perform preventative maintenance work on US Navy Ships docked in Singapore.

The job will begin the first week of July.

All Travel expenses are covered to include; paid travel days and per diem of $148/day

Must have no felonies and able to obtain a clearance to work on Navy Ships

The work will last for 1 - 2 weeks at a time then you will return home for the same duration of time, before returning back.

The type of work being performed will be maintenance of various mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. An example will include, but is not limited to the following:

- 1. Inspect and Clean Demister Filter.

PROCEDURE NOTE 1 : This procedure is intended to be scheduled and performed by Off-Ship Maintenance Personnel.

NOTE 2 : If Altair cleaning fluid is not available a vacuum cleaner can be used.

WARNING: To prevent personnel injury, Tag-Out procedures shall be in accordance with the Tag-out Users Manual (TUM), and/or local tag-out instruction.

a. De-energize ventilation fans and attach safety tag in accordance with the TUM and/or local tag-out instruction(s).

NOTE 3 : Refer to table 1 for filter and gasket ordering information.

NOTE 4 : Demisters are located behind bulkhead covers that must first be removed. These covers have 50+ bolts.

NOTE 5 : One person needs to be supporting the weight of cover while last bolts are being removed.

a. Remove fasteners from access cover and remove.

WARNING: Gas Free Engineer needs to gas free uptakes prior to anybody entering uptakes.

b. Gas free en gineer clears plenum for entry. c. Inspect cover gasket for rips or tears report discrepancies to ISP coordinator to order replacement. d. Remove all but one of filter bracket bolts.

NOTE 6 : Care needs to be used not to damage filters during removal maintenance person should utilize support bars to prevent filters from falling during removal.

e. Remove last bolt and remove filter bracket. f. Grasp filter panels by the stainless steel frame and pull outward or downward from the unit.

NOTE 7 : Pry bar or 36" metal rod with a hooking end may have to be utilized use care not to damage filter.

g.

Inspect filter(s) for dirt and damage; if damaged replace filter(s) and then proceed to step 1.l. If filter(s) is/are dirty then clean by performing the following:

(1) Put on goggles and gloves. (2) Using pail; mix 9 parts of fresh water to 1 part Altair cleaning fluid type FCF 2345. (3) Pour water/cleaning fluid mixed solution into spray bottle. (4) Using spray bottle; thoroughly wet the filter with cleaning solution from the clean side using a fine spray. (5) Completely rinse the filter with fresh cold water until clean.

NOTE 8 : If Altair cleaning fluid type FCF 2345 is available, perform steps 1.g.(1) through 1.g. (7). If Altair cleaning fluid is not available proceed to step 1.h. For time purposes, the filters can be replace with new or cleaned filters, and the dirty filters removed to an off-ship facility for cleaning. This allow for quickly placing the ventilation system back
