You’ll manage a portfolio of projects and have the chance to work with diverse global teams. This will include overseeing the development of new products and services as well as internal information systems and applications, technology integrations, and infrastructure build-outs.About the team:Join our Capital Markets team today! Our team is responsible for driving growth by developing and delivering innovative, client-centric platforms for asset managers, investment banks, trading and clearing firms, and more! You'll support our insurance risk solution that simplifies actuarial modeling and strengthens risk management. You'll handle increased needs from clients for a proper service management and relationship management.What you will be doing:Handles all aspects of assigned technical projects and works with product development, sales, client relationship teams, technology solutions, service delivery and/or other cross-functional teams.Manages project risks, issues/problems and activity progress to ensure project goals, e.g., deadline, scope and quality are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical teams, in internal organizations as well as in client and vendor/subcontractor organizations to ensure all project targets and requirements are met.Plans and coordinates all aspects of technical projects from initiation through delivery including identifying contractual obligations, client needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts and access to existing information as needed.Assigns and monitors work of project team providing technical and analytical support and direction. Interfaces with external clients or field-based employees on technical matters as needed.Delivers informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups in FIS and/or in client organizations.What you will need:A bachelor’s in computer science, management information systems or business administration or the equivalent experience – PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.7-10+ yrs experience managing technical projects within Financial Services, ideally within Capital MarketsExtensive knowledge of project management standards, software, processes, procedures and guidelines as well as various IT project methodologies and life cycles.Skill in the use of negotiation techniques to reach agreements when there are widely differing viewpoints and experience interacting with executive level clientsAdvanced skill in the use of project management software to manage projects, e.g., MS Project and auxiliary tools, such as earned value database, audit tools, project repository, including risk, issues and action items database, SLIM Estimate, Metrics and Control, PlanView, Platinum Process Continuum, ServiceNow (SNOW)ceAdded bonus if you have:Experience with actuarial insurance and insurance productsQuality assurance experienceExperience with math, statistics, and financial theory to analyze and manage riskBilingual in SpanishWhat we offer you:A career at FIS is more than just a job. The pay range for this full-time position is $117,620.00 - $197,580.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
