ResponsibilitiesWorks with a wide range of proprietary, industry-standard and open-source data stores and tools to assemble, organize and analyze data

Converts data into actionable insights

Utilizes data visualization tools to tell an effective story

Leverages a variety of statistical and mathematical techniques and algorithms to analyze a variety of datasets to solve complex business problems

Designs controlled experiments to test and validate hypotheses

Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions

Required SkillsDeep understanding of data structure and strong SQL skills

Experience using statistical programming languages (Python, R) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

Practical understanding of advanced statistics, A/B testing, machine learning, and data mining

Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences at various levels of the business

Strong storytelling capabilities

Aptitude for learning new theory and new technology

Degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar STEM discipline

Preferred SkillsMaster's Degree with 2+ years of advanced analytics experience

Functional industry experience in finance, operations, sales, marketing, credit/risk, or technology

Knowledge of the mortgage industry
