SS&C Advent , a leading provider of award-winning software and services for the global investment management industry, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps) for our Jacksonville office. The Engineer must have excellent communication and analytical skills. They should possess the enthusiasm and entrepreneurial skills needed to grow with our company. Black Diamond Wealth Platform provides solutions for the wealth management process. The core product retrieves and reconciles investment accounting data and provides a feature-rich, Internet-based application to analyze performance. Black Diamond Wealth Platform helps wealth managers and their clients by providing unbiased, outsourced investment performance reporting. What You Will Get To Do:- Design, build, and maintain automated and self-service solutions for internal product development teams, including CI/CD, secrets and configuration management
- Assist product development teams in onboarding new applications, including resource requirements, capacity planning, and data retention requirements
- Provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure application development platform resources using DevOps technologies and tooling
- Improve availability, performance, resiliency, and recoverability of platform systems by leveraging modern architectural patterns
- Define, diagram, and document standards and best practices
- Pairing with and mentoring junior team members
- 2+ years of experience building and deploying Infrastructure and custom applications to an IaaS provider with tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Ability to write automation scripts and platform-supporting services
- Experience developing, testing, and deploying complex code and configuration changes to customer-facing environments
- Experience working with Git
- Experience with both Linux and Windows OS
- Experience with Agile teams, tools, and ceremonies
- Experience with GitHub Actions and Workflows
- Experience with the following a strong plus:
- Red Hat OpenShift / OKD
- Artifact registry tools such as JFrog Artifactory, ProGet, or Quay
- Relational database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
- NoSQL datastores such as Redis, ElasticSearch, and MongoDB
- CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, Jenkins, and ArgoCD
- Load balancers such as F5 BigIP, and Traefik
- S3 and S3-compatible Object storage such as EMC ECS and Minio
- Logging and Observability tools such as Graylog, Prometheus, Grafana, and AlertManager
- Configuration Management tools such as Ansible and Puppet
- Candidates with Professional certifications for cloud, developer, and infrastructure (CKA, RHCS-OpenShift) are highly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills
