Role Overview: The Senior Human Resources Manager has operational and strategic responsibility and contributes to and leads the execution of human resource strategies, programs and initiatives in partnership and collaboration with business leaders and HR team members in support of the organization. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and partners regularly with Business and HR Leaders across the organization.The Senior Human Resources Manager is a trusted leader and advisor who operates with a high level of integrity, instilling the trust of stakeholders at all levels. As Human Resources leader, they are expected to mentor and provide the guidance necessary to help build, develop, enhance and sustain a high-performance culture across the organization.This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, change management, retention initiatives, policy development and implementation, employment law, compliance, and workforce planning.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages a team of HR Business Partners and effectively engages with other HR team members to accomplish business objectives.
  • Strategically partners in a hands-on approach, providing guidance and support while ensuring consistency across all lines of business.
  • Collaborates with senior management in the development, delivery, and communication of creative solutions in order to drive organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Utilizes data, reporting tools, and network resources to analyze information to identify needs while supporting data driven decisions to formulate recommendations in partnership with others.
  • Identifies trends and opportunities to partner with Executive Leaders to anticipate and plan for human capital requirements in order to achieve both short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Manages the delivery and execution of HR operations and talent management solutions in support of business objectives for assigned business units.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning and change management.
  • Facilitates effective communications, leads through change, supports and encourages cultural progress.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Manages policies and procedures and ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Ensures compliance with all legal and government reporting regulations affecting the human resources function.
  • Assists with preparation of information requested or required for compliance. Acts as primary contact with legal counsel and outside governmental agencies.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years experience in an HR leadership role with direct experience managing and developing other HR professionals. Prior experience as a Senior HR Manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree and HR Certification preferred.
  • Strategic forward-thinker who applies business insights and objectives to formulate and drive HR solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of human resource disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and business acumen. Experience partnering with and influencing senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity – effectively managing issues that do not always have a process or a system in place
  • Ability to position self as credible (garners respect, acts with integrity, keeps commitments); proactive (has a point of view, challenges assumptions, takes initiative); and a trusted thought partner (builds relationships, delivers results).
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to establish metrics, analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws/regulations.
  • Technical proficiency with various software programs including HR Systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with the Workday HRIS platform preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and respond to constantly changing business demands.
