- Manages a team of HR Business Partners and effectively engages with other HR team members to accomplish business objectives.
- Strategically partners in a hands-on approach, providing guidance and support while ensuring consistency across all lines of business.
- Collaborates with senior management in the development, delivery, and communication of creative solutions in order to drive organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Utilizes data, reporting tools, and network resources to analyze information to identify needs while supporting data driven decisions to formulate recommendations in partnership with others.
- Identifies trends and opportunities to partner with Executive Leaders to anticipate and plan for human capital requirements in order to achieve both short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Manages the delivery and execution of HR operations and talent management solutions in support of business objectives for assigned business units.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning and change management.
- Facilitates effective communications, leads through change, supports and encourages cultural progress.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Manages policies and procedures and ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Ensures compliance with all legal and government reporting regulations affecting the human resources function.
- Assists with preparation of information requested or required for compliance. Acts as primary contact with legal counsel and outside governmental agencies.
- 8+ years experience in an HR leadership role with direct experience managing and developing other HR professionals. Prior experience as a Senior HR Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree and HR Certification preferred.
- Strategic forward-thinker who applies business insights and objectives to formulate and drive HR solutions.
- Solid knowledge of human resource disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
- Demonstrated leadership capability and business acumen. Experience partnering with and influencing senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity – effectively managing issues that do not always have a process or a system in place
- Ability to position self as credible (garners respect, acts with integrity, keeps commitments); proactive (has a point of view, challenges assumptions, takes initiative); and a trusted thought partner (builds relationships, delivers results).
- Ability to work in fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to establish metrics, analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws/regulations.
- Technical proficiency with various software programs including HR Systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with the Workday HRIS platform preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and respond to constantly changing business demands.
