Overview

The Senior Pega Support Developer will be responsible for support, enhancement and development of the Pega applications. He/She will work collaboratively across business and IT functions to deliver necessary updates to keep the platform stable and compliant, assist in the triage production issues, work with business and IT portfolio partners on enhancement requests, and lead vendor discussions. He/She with limited oversight from manager, will work with the technical owner to triage issues, plan updates, and create the platform roadmap. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development and maintenance of Pega application & interfaces.
  • Update and Maintain documents that includes guardrails and best practices by implementing necessary policies and also train others in the critical success factors of the policy.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and debugging of Pega applications to clearly identify root cause of production level architecture issues and make practical suggestions with proof-based technical reasoning.
  • As a PEGA PRPC Developer you will be responsible for design, development, and support of a PEGA PRPC based applications as specified by our business partners.
  • Collect business and technical requirements by leading requirement gathering sessions with extended cross functional teams.
  • Craft user stories, get group consensus and enter into Jira/Agile.
  • Contribute to the creation of use cases, test cases, traceability matrix, and summary-level business requirement documentation.
  • Serve as the liaison between the business and the organization in order to supply technical solutions to meet business needs.
  • Analyze logs and alerts of Autonomic Event Services (AES), take necessary actions in order to resolve.
  • Suggest and implement modifications to improve system performance and user interaction.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance
  • OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance

Required Skills:
  • Must be a good team player.
  • At minimum Pega CSSA and/or Pega Systems Business Architect (CBA) required. If you have both, it's a great fit.
  • Proven work experience as a Pega developer or support engineer.
  • Advanced knowledge of Pega PRPC 8.x.
  • Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex Pega production issues.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains complex business, accounting, and management information systems.
  • Plays an active role in configuring the solution and supporting the technical team for any custom development required.
  • Assists in quality management reviews and ensures that all business and design requirements are met.
  • Provides process flow and other system diagramming.
  • Develops test scenarios and conducts end-to-end testing.
  • Conducts client-facing meetings for requirements gathering/design and weekly status updates.
  • Creates required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Assist users in the operations of the application.
  • Excellent oral, written, documentation skills; experience in executive presentations.
