Our client, an insurance company, is seeking a Director, IT, Corporate Systems
Location: Jacksonville, FL Position Type: Full Time Who are we looking for? The client seeking to hire an IT Director, Corporate Systems for our Jacksonville office. The IT Director focuses on managing a software development team that handles enterprise corporate systems software and production support. The area focuses on all corporate application systems including HR, Finance, legal and investment applications. Responsibilities: -Manage a team of internal, external employees and contractor developers to execute various programming projects within the Corporate Systems area. -Manage the application development lifecycle for software projects of varying size and complexity. -Provide quality, timely and cost-effective Information Systems services in support of the company mission and strategies. -Leads coordination of Information Systems resources and partners with customers, vendors and other Information Systems areas. -Mentor, manage and lead skilled application developers and business systems analysts. -Support and build consensus among business and technology stakeholders. -Represent the company externally with Industry bodies and other partners. Qualifications: -10+ years of personnel management experience -10+ years of experience in designing, building, and implementing software solutions in banking, finance, or insurance industries -Education equivalent to a college degree in computer science or related field, or the equivalent in related work experience -Experience leading and building Information Systems delivery organizations -Demonstrated leadership qualities communicating and reporting at the business and IT executive level -Experience in software development project management -Ability to execute on simultaneous projects to successful delivery -Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with stakeholders and senior business leadership of departments and customers participating in this project -Ability to organize and work effectively with project teams made up of internal staff and/or external parties (claims product, vendors, etc.) -Demonstrated experience and relevant expertise in the configuration and deployment of Information Systems business solutions -Demonstrated experience with vendor management and contract structuring -Ability to work remote until it is safe to return to the offices. -Able to handle minimal occasional travel when offices open.Vacancy expired!
