Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a DevOps/Linux Admin for a CONTRACT TO HIRE assignment with one of our premier Mortgage Services clients in Remote. ROLE WILL CONVERT SO MUST BE US CITIZEN OR GC HOLDER FULLY REMOTE SUPPORTING EAST COAST HOURS UPON CONVERSION WILL RECEIVE SALARY, BENEFITS, BONUS ETC Top Skills Needed: DevOps/Linux Admin Blend Familiar with DevOps Methodology Git and other repositories Linux Server admin experience 5 years Redhat or CentOS Heavy focus on these in interview Assists in creating scripts (Python preferred) Gitlab, Jenkins, Artifactory Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the continual automation, integration, deployment, and optimization of software build and deployment systems.
  • Works collaboratively with software engineers to deploy and operate systems across multiple platforms securely and accurately.
  • Keeps a vigilant eye on the Firm's systems capacity and performance.
  • Assists in defining automated monitoring, deployment and repair strategies using a wide variety of Ops tools and monitoring platforms
  • Builds and maintains tools for deployment, monitoring and operations as well as troubleshoots and resolves issues.
  • Assists with the Continuous Integration and Continual Deployment (CI/CD) processes and mentors teams to assist with improving their processes.
  • Makes sure build and deployment processes are following known best practices.
  • Assists with the management and performance of the infrastructure and deployment of applications.
  • Evaluates third party software tools and libraries for enterprise needs with risk management.
  • Diagnoses, isolates, and debugs application problems and performs problem resolution.
  • Monitors systems capacity and performance to allow for scaling of high performance as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Required Skills :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • The candidate must have solid Redhat or CentOS linux experience (5 years preferred)
  • The candidate must have a strong understanding of GIT. Commits, branching strategies, merge requests, etc.
  • The candidate must have scripting experience. Examples: python, php, perl, bash
  • Expertise in cloud computing, storage, and hosting functionality (i.e., cloud computing, storage, hosting functionality)
  • Experience working in an environment that utilizes CI/CD processes a plus
  • Experience developing or supporting either [insert Java, .NET, Angular, iOS, Android] applications and build tools
  • Proficiency with tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Python, Salt, Chef or Puppet
  • Experience managing large number of systems (configuration management systems)
  • Expertise with monitoring, alerting and incident response tools and performing root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with Agile best practices
  • Experience with container orchestration tool (i.e., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.) for containerizing applications or services a plus
  • Proficiency in Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux / RHEL) and/or Windows operating systems
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop partnership-oriented relationships with business executives and functional leaders, especially as it relates to operations and technology
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within the enterprise or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)
  • Results oriented, business focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational units

  • Experience with automated testing a plus
