Job Description:
ASRC Federal Data Solutions is seeking a Communication Systems Engineer II with Systems Administrator background to support the Kennedy Infrastructure and Communication (KIAC) contract at Kennedy Space Center. Communication Systems Engineers' research, design and develop, test and oversee the installation of IT network transmission systems. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:ASRC Federal is hiring multiple level systems communication engineers to design IT solutions for NASA. IT systems engineering is responsible for providing engineering products for a broad set of programs at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) across the project life cycle, ranging from operational programs, to design and development projects. The organization supplies, specifies, and/or maintains technical insight into ground systems and facilities to meet current and future space flight customer needs. The organization develops and maintains experienced engineering and a set of laboratories and test facilities that perform design, integration, test and sustaining engineering. Systems engineering is responsible for communications transmission systems, operational intercommunication voice systems and a wide variety of imagery capture systems. All of these systems support multiple NASA missions at Kennedy Space Center. Responsibilities- BS Degree plus 3 years of experience
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent.
- CompTia Security+, network+, CCNA-security or able to receive Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
- Experience with IT security concepts & implementation, including prior experience
- Experience with network design, and understanding on data transmission system.
- Experience with multi-user server setup, database administration and implementation.
- Video/Voice Broadcasting and Recording
- IoT device configuration experience
- Network and/or Computer Admin knowledge
- Active knowledge of Video Encoding / Decoding
