The Sunset Celebration is looking for a person to serve as part time event manger 2 to 3 evenings a week for about 4 hours, must have good people skills and be firm but fair.
The tasks include being physically able to hanging up a banner and being mobile around the square, using the computer to check people in as they arrive to work, knowing the sunset rules and enforcing them, addressing concerns from our members and security responsibilities in which you must calmly deal with and deescalate situations with sometimes disruptive attendees. you would also be paid to get a security license online.
Mostly the job requires people skills. People who get involved with sunset after a while really become attached to the community and become enthusiastic about the mission that we have, for a lot of people it becomes a very rewarding part of their lives. Possibly you are a person who would enjoy being involved with a non-profit organization such as ourselves and being part of our community.
The pay would be $20 an hour to start in $25 once they got their security license. The approximate hours are two and a half hours before sunset until about an hour after sunset. The sunset time does change during the year. so the job starts as early as 3:30 pm and starts as late as 6:15 pm depending on time of year.
