F-5 Aircraft Servicer BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY
  • Responsible to the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor/Lead for cleaning exterior and interior of aircraft and designated aircraft inspections. Responsible for adherence to the environmental, health and safety regulations, policies, explosive safety and other applicable Navy/Air Force/Company requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Able to utilize portable platform ladders, rags, hoses and vacuums in the performance of duties.
  • Shall perform aircraft/special inspections to include 7/14/56 day inspections in accordance with applicable aircraft directives.
  • Be able to climb and walk on top of aircraft while utilizing maintenance equipment.
  • Will be required to wash aircraft utilizing chemicals/solvents.
  • Be able to perform lubing and greasing functions on aircraft, support equipment (SE), and company vehicles.
  • Be able to obtain and qualify to use Respirator and pass physical requirements.
  • When directed by management, will be required to assist in aircraft paint operations as Safety Observer.
  • Be able to work outside in challenging weather and environmental conditions.
  • When qualified and directed by management, provide training to new Servicers.
  • Be capable of obtaining and maintaining applicable Support Equipment (SE) licenses.
  • Be capable of working day or night shift as directed, weekends and overtime.
  • Comply and participate in the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) program.
  • Comply with and ensure strict compliance with the Tool Control Program.
  • Will be required to operate NALCOMIS/OOMA computers to document work performed on applicable aircraft forms and records.
  • Responsible for proper use and operation of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment.
  • Be required to assist in flight line operations to include aircraft fueling.
  • Assists in aircraft/equipment movement and flight line foreign object prevention walks.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
  • Able to obtain/maintain Interim/Secret clearance
  • Be capable of reviewing and interpreting customer technical orders, quality assurance standard practices, maintenance instructions and military specifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Physical Demands: This classification activity requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with shop/hanger/flight line maintenance activities to include bending, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, stretching, kneeling and working in tiring, uncomfortable positions, etc. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment: The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.

  • Support Equipment Operator as required for assigned tasks
  • Emergency Reclamation
  • Tow Supervisor/Tow Brake Operations
