As a Scrum Master, you will coach and guide teams to deliver strategic Data Products enabling an environment and team culture of trust, empathy, agility, and high standards. You will use your knowledge of people skills, agile methodology and frameworks, coaching, partnering, and influencing to ensure that data products are delivered in a timely, productive, and collaborative manner as well as be accountable for agile maturity through the measurement of key team performance indicators. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage each project's scope and timeline
  • Possessing expert level knowledge of agile practices; Coach team members to be successful using the appropriate frameworks and principles for the job
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  • Work in tandem with product ownership and management on product direction, backlogs, new requests, and reporting out on key metrics such as burnups, burndowns, velocity, and capacity
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur with a high level of urgency
  • Help teams implement changes effectively
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
  • Lead key ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, stand-ups, etc.
  • Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it.
Basic qualifications:
  • Possess high levels of ownership, adaptability, and attention to detail
  • Highly experienced in all areas of the Product Process, Agile principles and frameworks, and servant leadership
  • Demonstrated success in leading high performing scrum teams
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities while maximizing value
  • Highly experienced across a wide array of SDLC practices such as agile, waterfall, and corresponding frameworks
  • Knowledge and experience with data, data science, analytics, and business intelligence
  • Highly experienced in project management practices, methodologies, and frameworks
  • Genuine empathy for the customer, the scrum team, and partners
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including story-telling, relationship-building, influence, and negotiation
  • Proven track record of agile coaching and mentoring
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
  • Deep understanding of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Miro, among others
  • Deep expertise of scrum and adjacent frameworks (LESS, XP, Kanban, etc.)
Required Education:
  • BA in Business, Computer Science, IT, related field
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team building efforts
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested
