As a Staff Project Engineer with Disney Parks Experience and Products, you will get to do impactful work that helps create Magic for our guests! Every single day will look a little different, you may be gathering data from devices located in the field, or you may find yourself completing design reviews for critical system components. You will work to handle all necessary hardware and software specifications for the system to be efficiently implemented at each attraction.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of technical projects with accountability for deliverables, budget & schedule.
  • Provide technical expertise as needed for projects or ad-hoc requests.
  • Prepare any technical documentation including specifications, requirements, drawings, the scope of work, installation plans, or maintenance requirements as the need arises for the successful execution of projects.
  • Verify that procurement and installation work is in compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage technical interfaces between the project scopes.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with the Project Team, Operations, Engineering Services, Safety, vendors, contractors, and other key partners and team members.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in Engineering, showing growing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with the design, installation and commissioning of complex equipment systems that meet regulatory and industrial standards.
  • Experience with investigations, root cause analysis, and hazard analysis.
  • Proven knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in using MS Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience in developing and handling project schedules using the critical path method.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data relationships in concise and straightforward presentations.
  • Ability to work after hours and off-shift hours as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in the amusement park industry
  • Florida Professional Engineer's License.
  • Experience with Maximo, SAP, Splunk systems.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering focusing on equipment design (i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Controls or Computer Engineering) from an ABET credited school
Preferred Education:
  • Masters in Engineering Management or Business Administration
