I/S provides the information technology required for all Publix business units including retail stores and all office and warehouse environments. The Publix I/S mission is to maximize the value of information technology to Publix associates and customers.

  • leading the development of solution architectures for both tactical and strategic projects,
  • producing architecture documentation and deliverables including Architecture Plans, proofs-of-concept, standards, and roadmaps,
  • providing leadership, knowledge, and experience to delivery teams on the architecture, design, and delivery of cost effective and sustainable solutions,
  • ensuring proper and effective reuse of application and technical services, frameworks, and standard tools and templates in the proposed solution,
  • ensuring that all aspects of the solution design follow best practices and meet the requirements of the business by participating in conceptual and physical design, participating in design reviews, and approving design deliverables,
  • ensuring that code (and other implementation artifacts) adhere to standards and implement the specified design by participating in detailed reviews and providing approval,
  • providing guidance to project teams in determining what functionality currently being implemented should be exposed as new services to the enterprise,
  • providing training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to project team members, and
  • actively collaborating with other Architects to define new standards and best practices that are not provided for by the current architecture standards.
  • must have a bachelors degree in computer science, or an analytical discipline, or equivalent experience,
  • must have at least seven years of recent experience leading the analysis of complex business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership,
  • Seven years of recent experience developing and deploying SAP Solutions, specifically the FI/CO, MM, HR, SD, and PM modules
  • Seven years of recent experience with system landscape design for production and non-production environments
  • Three years of recent experience working on SAP solutions running on a Unix/Linux platforms (AIX, SUSE, Red Hat)
  • Three years of experience with web services as both provider and consumer
  • Experience with network security (web dispatcher, SSL/TLS, RFC connections, etc.)
  • Experience with security technologies (SAP security, SAML, x509, AS-Java authentication, etc.)
  • Three years of experience with integration technologies (IDOCs, XML, cloud integration, etc.)
  • Experience with Fiori landscape design
  • Experience in SAP BW (BEX, Infocubes, DSOs, extractors)
  • Experience with SAP BWoH 740 with BPC and BI (specifically Lumira)
  • Two years of experience with S4HANA migrations and options (green field, brown field, sidecar, HCM alternatives)
  • Strong background in Solution Manager
  • Seven years of experience with OOABAP development and methodologies
  • Seven years of experience with Reporting, Interfacing, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF)
  • Experience with Fiori development (mobile and website)
  • Knowledge of TDMS and EPI-USE tools for data refreshes
  • Experience with how to integrate cloud solutions to on-premise (Ariba, Concur, Success Factors, etc.)
  • Experience with SAPs mobile platform
  • Knowledge of how to integrate IDPs with SAP Fiori solutions
  • Knowledge of Cordova mobile technologies
  • Knowledge of dialog programming, Adobe form development, workflow, Personas
  • Knowledge of data dictionary best practices (data modelling, normalization, indexes, performance, etc.)
  • Knowledge of trouble shooting processes in Fiori/ABAP/WebDynPro/Personas (trace, SQL analysis, break points, etc.)
