I/S provides the information technology required for all Publix business units including retail stores and all office and warehouse environments. The Publix I/S mission is to maximize the value of information technology to Publix associates and customers. Seeking an experienced Software Engineer who will play a key role in software development for the flagship Publix.com website leveraging technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, Azure, and Sitecore across a core .NET and web skillset. We are looking for a technical candidate with strong analytical, problem solving, and development skills, including the ability to troubleshoot issues in a complex environment and to communicate complicated technical topics effectively at multiple levels as well as provide mentoring and coaching to more junior developers. Key Job Duties: Under general guidance, participates and contributes technical requirements to the business systems analyst. Leads technical design of highly complex projects. For less complex projects, responsible for leading all technical phases of the project. Oversees and prepares technical design documents and detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Instructs, directs, and peer reviews other software engineers work ensuring quality, security, and best practices. Responsible for designing, coding, unit testing, debugging, documenting, implementing, maintaining, and supporting highly complex programs. Perform occasional after hours support on technical solutions within the product portfolio including support during code installs as needed.

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in application development using .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, and SQL
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with MVC and other design patterns
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
  • Experience with scrum or other agile development methodology
  • Positive attitude, good work ethic, team focused
  • 5+ years of strong experience integrating with complex interconnected systems
  • 7+ years of experience supporting, designing, and developing responsive ecommerce websites
  • 7+ years of experience in application development using .NET, ASP.NET, C#, and SQL
  • 7+ years of experience designing and developing websites running in a multi-platform distributed environment
  • 7+ years of experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
  • Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps or a similar tool
  • Experience working with Solr datastores or other datastores and querying complex data
  • Experience with unit testing, such as NUnit or XUnit
  • Experience in working cloud systems, such as an Azure-hosted environment
  • Experience with Docker, Dapper, and Microservices
  • Experience with Redis or a similar distributed caching platform
  • Experience with Sitecore CMS experience/Sitecore Developer Certification
  • Experience with dependency injection
  • Experience in analyzing and tuning code performance
