- 10-years of experience as a System Engineer, Technical Analyst, Product Owner, Product Engineer, or similar role in a software-intensive systems domain
- 5-years as a practicing software, computer, or electrical engineer
- Ability to quickly grasp stakeholders’ domain, business goals, needs, wants, and distill them into clear, quantifiable requirements for developing actionable, measurable engineering plans
- Extensive experience documenting requirements and an in-depth knowledge of modern requirements documentation best practices
- Excellent time management, communication, negotiation, facilitation, interpersonal, conflict management, presentation and organizational skills
- Experience with systems engineering lifecycle models (e g. V-Model) and software engineering lifecycles to include waterfall and agile lifecycle models
- Experience with one or more distributed requirements management tools
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Create integrated project, product, and system requirements baselines and customer deliveries
- Plan milestones, work products, and task groupings from requirements and stakeholder expectations to communicate with engineering staff
- Communicate with customer stakeholders to understand required system and/or product features and services
- Continuously interact with customer organizations to understand their domain, expectations, and experiences and serve as the voice of the customer
- Work with internal business development during initial customer engagements to provide technical insight and gain early understanding of potential customer requirements
- Capture and document functional and quality attribute requirements (e g. performance, scalability, extensibility, and so forth) into clear, quantifiable information that can be transformed into operational products, systems, and/or services
- Work with staff engineers to understand and determine the technical feasibility and limitations of various product/system features, quality attributes, and services
- Work with senior leadership, project management and business development to determine product/system development cost, milestones, and timelines
- Experience utilizing Jira
- Experience with embedded and/or small form-factor computing domains
