Publixs Information Services (I/S) department is located in Lakeland, Florida and Alpharetta, Georgia and employs over 1000 associates. I/S provides the information technology required for all Publix business units including retail stores and all office and warehouse environments. The Publix I/S mission is to maximize the value of information technology to Publix associates and customers. This position is part of a team to develop and support the various modules implemented in the SAP system. Primary responsibilities include:
- Participating on cross-functional project teams with an emphasis in Human Resources to design, develop and implement SAP applications
- Assisting with gathering business requirements and translating them into system design and reporting capabilities
- Collaborating with Development and Infrastructure teams to create, maintain and test application functionality to ensure implementations are successful
- Writing or modifying unit test plans, test cases and other SAP deliverables
- Configuring SAP to implement solutions in the Human Resources area
- Testing application functionality as well as custom SAP programs
- Assisting with resolution of SAP incidents and problems
- Validating the deployment of SAP system changes into a production environment
- Assisting with the support of integration points within SAP as well as interfaces between SAP and other systems
- Providing direct support to business areas and other I/S teams in all aspects of the SAP application
- Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
- years of IT related experiencesuch as program development and design
- 2 years relevant experience with SAP applications
- Experience reading and understanding system requirements and design deliverables
- Experience understanding software applications and translating business requirements into functional configuration requirements
- Experience with testing environments and following testing standards
- Two years' experience with SAP's ECC Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, specifically the Human Resource (HR) modules
- Five years business experience involving extensive research and analytical skills
- Experience configuring HR modules with an emphasis on Org Management, Personnel Administration, Recruitment, or any other HR submodules (i.e. Benefits, Time, or Payroll).
- Experience working with SQ01 queries or the standard ad hoc query transactions
