  • Participate in Enterprise Data Warehouse and business application team projects with a focus on gathering requirements, design, development, and implementation of cloud solutions
  • Work with Data Asset Management team and business users to gather detailed analytics requirements
  • Analyze the data sources, design, and develop Databricks pipelines to ingest the data
  • Collaborate with the EDW team and Architecture team to structure the new data within Azure Data Lake
  • Collaborate with Data Asset Management team to maintain metadata
  • Assist business users with creation of dashboards and reports
  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing, developing, and supporting applications in an enterprise environment
  • Minimum one year of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Minimum one year of experience using Azure cloud computing technologies
  • Minimum one year of hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, SQL or relational databases, Hadoop, and data pipeline management in Spark for batch and streaming
  • Experience working in a data lake environment handling structured and unstructured data, leveraging data streaming, and developing data pipelines driven by events/queues
  • Experience designing and developing data management and data persistence solutions for applications leveraging databases (Relational and NoSQL)
  • Experience building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Attention to detail with the ability to produce reliable, effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possessing a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and energetic team environment
  • Familiar with sourcing on-prem data into the cloud and persisting the data for scale
  • Familiar with data partitioning, compaction, and open-source file formats like Parquet, ORC, AVRO and Delta
  • 7 or more years experience designing, developing, and supporting applications in an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Gen1/Gen2, Data Lake Analytics
  • Experience with Python, C#, Scala, or Java
  • Experience with Kafka, Azure Event Hubs (or similar tech), Apache Flink, or any other large scale streaming technologies
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Data Science algorithms
  • Experience with Spark optimization and SQL Optimization
  • Experience with Snowflake platform
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy
  • Experience with ETL tools such as DataStage
  • Experience with Teradata database
  • Experience with Delta Lake
