Publixs Information Services (I/S) department is located in Lakeland, Florida and Alpharetta, Georgia and employs over 1000 associates. I/S provides the information technology required for all Publix business units including retail stores and all office and warehouse environments. The Publix I/S mission is to maximize the value of information technology to Publix associates and customers. Our teams are growing as we modernize many of our legacy systems! As we transform many of these highly complex systems, we need Software Engineers and Intermediate Software Engineers in the following areas:
- Warehousing
- Transportation
- Manufacturing
- Finance
- Item Management
- Under specific guidance, creates detailed technical specifications for moderately complex technical solutions from designs, program specifications and/or product backlog items from which programs will be written.
- Designs, codes, unit tests, debugs, documents, implements, and maintains those programs.
- Write, modify, and automate unit test plans, scripts, and cases for moderately complex programs and/or application packages.
- Work effectively in a team environment by providing direction to newer software engineers, taking technical direction from architecture, technical leads, and scrum masters
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
- 1+ years software engineering experience in web, mobile, or application design, development, and delivery
- 1+ years of full-stack development in .NET Framework 4.0+ or .NET Core including C# and VB.NET
- 1+ years experience with highly complex distributed systems
- 1+ years experience designing enterprise class solutions using object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, UML, service-oriented architecture, and solution frameworks
- 1+ years of database experience (SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Redis, etc)
- Experience with Visual Studio 2015/2017/2019
- Experience in an agile development environment
- 5+ years experience developing and supporting enterprise applications running in a multi-platform distributed environment
