Job Description Role: Solutions Architect / Application Architect Location: Lakeland, FL/ Memphis, TN/ Spring, CO Mode of Hire: Full Time Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership on Solutions in Application Architecture, DevOps, Cloud Transformations, Maintenance and improve qualities of applications
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define solutions, best practices
- Review solution implementations
- Mentor development staff on solutions, best practices
- Coach / Mentor the teams
- Conduct POC as required
- Create Architectural solutions and seek buy-in from stakeholders
- Keep abreast of technologies, tools and best practices in related areas
- Bachelor's degree preferably and /or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or related areas. Or equivalent experience
- IT and Software development experience of 14+ years
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Application Architecture / Solution Architecture. Must have architected (green field) or rearchitected at least 3 applications
- Experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot is a must
- Experience in other technologies (beyond Java) is a plus
- Knowledge/Experience in Cloud Transformation (However, this is not primarily a cloud architect position)
- Knowledge/experience in Cloud-native applications
- Experience in collaborating with Director/VP level stakeholders
- Experience in DevOps is a plus: Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, GitLab, uDeploy tools generally used in CI, CD, CT
- Experience in Infrastructure as a Code, Configurations is a plus: Terraform, Ansible is a plus
- Experience in Service Virtualization and tools such as Broadcom Service Virtualization (earlier CA Lisa) is a plus
- Desired Experience with the development, planning implementation support and maintenance of technology systems and applications esp. in Java eco-system
- Experience with Data Center Technologies in general
- Excellent communication skills. Skillful in communicating ideas and solutions to technical audience as well as business stakeholders
- Very good interpersonal skills being able to influence technical audients/teams
- Have a passion for learning and leverage the knowledge gained to increase the knowledge of other people
