I/S provides the information technology required for all Publix business units including retail stores and all office and warehouse environments. The Publix I/S mission is to maximize the value of information technology to Publix associates and customers. Join the Publix Architecture team to enable Publixs digital transformation. This software engineer will be at the forefront of Publixs adoption of new technologies and practices. This individual will be a self-starter that excels technically and collaborates with team members of different skill levels effectively. You will help develop and evangelize patterns and practices that will be used by Publixs application delivery teams. You will help develop proof-of-concepts, author common services, and learn new technologies with a focus on cloud-native.

- Develop unit tests and perform functional testing of solutions
- Develop technical documentation
- Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years experience designing, developing, and supporting large-scale applications
- Minimum of 4 years experience with .Net technologies
- Minimum of 3 years experience with relational database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL
- Minimum of 3 years experience analyzing requirements and developing technology solutions
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work concurrently on multiple assignments
- Experience with cloud native application development
- Experience with event driven application development
- Experience with microservice application development
- Experience with authoring applications using the 12 factor methodology
- Experience with authoring applications incorporating observability functionality; metrics, logging, and tracing
- Experience authoring reusable, common services that were widely adopted
- Experience with authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth, OpenID)
- Experience with public cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with containers and container orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, and etc.
- Contributions to open-source projects
