Standard Work Duties: IS Infrastructure Engineer- Installs, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains server hardware, storage (SAN) and virtual infrastructure including virtual desktop (VDI) infrastructure- Manage and maintain Virtual Servers, DFS, Active Directory, DHCP and DNS infrastructure- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot and report backups of VMs, Servers, Databases and Files Shares with enterprise monitoring solution- Uses processes for monitoring performance of installed systems or services and takes corrective actions when necessary. Uses tools for capacity planning, reporting, and proactive problem solving. Screen and analyze application performance for potential bottlenecks, specify possible solutions, and act jointly with developers to apply those fixes- Acts as a technical resource to evaluate evolving Network technology and perform as a consultant interface to the Business Units for new company initiatives- Supports third party software implementation as a technical resource and maintains private and public cloud infrastructure- Identify, repair, and resolve any hardware or software failures within the enterprise, in a timely manner and following company procedures and standards- Evaluate applicable requirements to provide appropriate technical specifications and solutions- Work closely with other departments, teams and engineers to build and troubleshoot virtual and physical systems- Develops and maintains systems documentation and technical procedures, user guides and run-books
