I/S provides the information technology required for all Publix business units including retail stores and all office and warehouse environments. The Publix I/S mission is to maximize the value of information technology to Publix associates and customers. The job responsibilities for this position are:
- provide technical support/system administration for enterprise security tools such as file integrity monitoring software, web application firewalls, cloud access security brokers, file encryption, database activity monitoring, email security, data loss prevention, bot management, fraud, advanced anti-malware, intrusion detection, and endpoint detection and response software,
- serve as a hands-on technical expert working directly with development and application delivery teams to provide guidance on security software and problem resolution.
- provide project management for security projects and new security tools to include requirements development, evaluation, vendor selection, installation, configuration, tuning, and creation of program and process documentation,
- must have a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or other technical/analytical disciplines, or equivalent experience,
- must have at least 2 years of experience in IT security providing technical support/system administration for large corporate enterprise security tools such as file integrity monitoring software, web application firewalls, cloud access security brokers, file encryption, database activity monitoring, email security, data loss prevention, bot management, fraud and host based next-gen anti-malware/intrusion detection/advanced persistent threat software,
- must have previous experience with project management, and technical documentation writing
- must have basic knowledge of at least one of the following: PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA requirements
- must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of Publix associates,
- must have the ability to resolve complex business and technical issues by making decisions using sound business judgment,
- must have excellent customer service skills and commitment to teamwork,
- must be flexible and able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner,
- must demonstrate ability to work under minimal supervision,
- must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills,
- must have a high degree of confidentiality, maturity, self-motivation, commitment, and integrity and,
- must show enthusiasm, initiative, attention to detail, punctuality, pride in work, and a commitment to Publix and our Mission.
- continued education including additional or advanced degrees in analytical, technical, or business discipline,
- 4 years of experience in IT security providing technical support/system administration for security tools such as file integrity monitoring software, web application firewalls, cloud access security brokers, file encryption, database activity monitoring, host based next-gen anti-malware/intrusion detection/advanced persistent threat software, bot management, fraud prevention, online payment security, email security and data loss prevention solutions for large corporate enterprise,
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills including experience in organizing, planning, and executing large scale, cross functional efforts,
- experience in project management and leading projects to completion,
- strong understanding of systems administration on Windows, Linux/Unix, operating systems including secure configuration of these operating systems,
- strong understanding of common communication and security protocols,
- experience using analysis tools such as Wireshark and Fiddler,
- automation and scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, bash or other,
- one or more of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Security +, Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate (MCASEA), GIAC Certified Web Application Defender (GWEB), GIAC Certified Web Application Pen Tester (GWAPT), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) and/or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ISSAP/ISSEP/ISSMP concentration preferred.
