Primary Skills: Accounting Systems and Applications

Role Description: The

Accountant must have at least 5+ years of experience.

Logistics: Shift: M-F, 40hr/week, standard 8-5 workday This position will remote through 12/31/2021. If it is extended, it may be required to work in the Lake Mary office.

Must Have Skills (Most Important): - Familiarity with FASB requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - Attention to detail - Strong written and verbal communications skills - Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Desired Skills: - Working knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly Excel - Working knowledge of Google Suite - Working knowledge of accounting systems and applications such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Hyperion Financial Management, and Blackline.

Job Duties: - Prepares accounting related reports - Assists with monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities - Prepares and analyzes journal entries; proposes adjustments as necessary - Prepares account reconciliations, actively investigates reconciling items and proposes resolution - Demonstrates familiarity with a broad variety of data sources and process flows impacting accounting transactions - Verifies records are processed, reviews posting issues and resolves errors - Compares system outputs with daily input verifying for accuracy and resolves discrepancies - Assists in the analysis and interpretation of accounting records for use by management, as required - Supports the companys compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley, GAAP, and Company Accounting Policy requirements - Assists in the documentation of less complex accounting projects - Maintains records of routine accounting transactions

Education/Certifications: - Bachelors degree in a business-related field; Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred. - CPA certification or in the process of attaining the CPA certification is preferred

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Local Preferred: Yes

Note: Must be able to work on a W2 basis
