GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB FUNCTIONS:
Technical Knowledge- Able to perform all functions of the job. Able to perform the quality and quantity of work necessary. Is knowledgeable of general, overall business operations and expectations.
Customer Service (Including internal customers)- Consistently provides excellent customer service to all customers. Practices excellent customer service skills in all interactions.
Communication- Receives direction and feedback well from others. Informs supervisors, managers and team members of key issues as appropriate.
Teamwork- Maintains a positive working relationship with co-workers and managers. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills while gaining respect and positively influencing others. Promotes teamwork and a positive attitude within the work environment.
Reliability- Is punctual and adheres to attendance standards consistently. Completes work assigned on a timely basis. Hardworking and does not require constant supervision and/or reminders.
Appearance- Wears appropriate attire, consistently adheres to the uniform policy, and is neat and well-groomed. Demonstrates a professional image when representing the company.
Safety- Follows all Company procedures to ensure a safe environment for themselves, co-workers, customers and Company.
QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
Tier C ($10-12 per hour)
Less than 1 year experience
Ability to follow instructions correctly and efficiently
Digging holes, with a shovel or an auger
Installing material – small plants, trees (both large and small), shrubs, ground cover
Laying mulch
Laying sod
Use of non-mechanical hand tools
Tier B ($12-13 per hour)
1-2 years’ direct experience
All Tier C items plus the following:
Use of all hand tools, both mechanical and non-mechanical
Installing tree rings
Staking trees – both strap and wood
Tier A – ($13-15 per hour)
2+ years’ direct experience
All Tier B Items plus the following:
Installing material that is not plant-based (ie hardscape)
Plant recognition – when identified by Foremen or Project Manager
Able to assist Foremen as requested
Drivers – Add $1 per hour
